YOUR EARNING INCREASE

The German feed-in tariff (EEG) sets a fixed annual price for kilowatt hours (kWh) produced over a period of 20 years. This informed your decision to invest in your PV system. Defects in your system lead to yield losses, with varying effects. Our detailed inspection report gives you an accurate estimate of the extent to which the defects affect the yield of your system.

Mr Arheit has installed a 16.2 kWp roof-mounted system on his single-family house. He operates the installation himself. When he installed the system eight years ago, he wanted to invest in the future – both in the future of technology and that of his family. The PV system was put into operation in 2009 and the Arheit family receives a feed-in remuneration of 40.01 ct/kWp.

For the owner of the PV system, a loss of yield due to defects also means a financial loss. The table shows this loss, relative to the feed-in tariff and the number of years of future operation.

Mr Scholz wanted to use the flat roof of his factory building sensibly and installed a 100 kWp system. The plant was only installed in 2012; Mr Scholz was entitled to a guaranteed feed-in tariff for another 15 years. Unfortunately, the design of the plant was not carried out correctly. Among the defects that were discovered were three failed strings, which significantly reduce the yield of his plant.
